John Young was considered to be a valued consultant and master craftsman who contributed to the maintenance and restoration of the elegant interiors throughout the American Orient Express vintage rail coaches. From the Fall of 2001 through the Summer of 2005, John was an integral part of the group responsible for the expansion of the AOE fleet of rail cars from 18 to an eventual total of 31 vintage luxury rail cars in active revenue service. It was my experience that John Young was consistently impressive in his ability to deliver the highest quality workmanship regardless of time constraints or the level of complexity each project demanded.

Shopping for a bookcase that suited our home was a big disappointment. Both big readers and music fans, my husband and I wanted quality shelving that could hold books and vinyl but had little luck. We wanted something sturdy and stylish but everything we found in stores was overpriced, flimsy and inflexible. John helped us design a bookcase that suited our tastes and needs and then crafted it to match existing furniture in our home. We love it! For a very good price, we have a quality, durable piece that is unique to our home. Built in four sections with movable shelves, we know it will be with us for a long time, even as our needs change. That's important to us. This bookcase was a wedding gift from my husband's parents and we're happy it can be with us through the years. I can't say enough about what a great experience it was to work with John on this project!

John Young retrofitted our 1960's kitchen and bathrooms with new cabinets and drawers. He made sure they blended with our home's decor and style, but brought them into the present era. We wanted to maintain our Corian kitchen and tile bathroom countertops and therefore he had to utilize the existing bases. He was extremely conscientious in fitting the doors and drawers into the old bases making the units look like new. He made totally new upper cabinets for the kitchen fitting them into the "old" space and added a large new pantry.
John, a skillful master cabinet maker, is one of the nicest, most trustworthy and delightful people you could ever have working in your home.
